"Reflecting Through Art" Exhibition at CUH 27 May 2016
‘Reflecting Through Art’ Exhibition, At CUH Gallery, Staff dining room.
From 1st May to 8th June 1216
‘Reflecting Through Art’ is an exhibition open to anyone using the mental health services. The project aims to encourage creative activity, raise the profile of the artists and their talents but also to highlight the importance of art not just in recovery from a mental health difficulty but also as a positive coping strategy through difficult times. Art offers many people great comfort and joy.
Artists receive 100% of monies from paintings sold.
Where OTO appears on a painting, this refers to Open to Offers, the artist has left it up to its audience to make an offer and they will decide if they accept an offer to sell a painting.
Cork Mental Health Foundation is a voluntary body which aims to promote positive mental health and create more awareness and understanding of mental health issues. Amongst other projects, it facilitates Mental Health Awareness Presentations and Public Speaking Project for Post Primary Schools, Mental Health Presentations in Primary schools and offers resources to workplaces to raise awareness of mental health for employees.
