Where:  At The Cardiac Renal Centre Atrium CUH,  5.00pm - 6.30pm

AboutSCRUBS was specially formed in June 2015 to take part in HMI / Lyric FM workplace choir-competition. The choir was delighted to reach the final at its first attempt and enjoyed the experience so much that they decided to stay together.

Since then, 'SCRUBS' has taken part in numerous events, including charity concerts for Children’s Club, Brú Columbanus and Irish Guide Dogs. 'SCRUBS' also participated in Feis Maitiú , Cork International Choral festival and recently were special guests at the HSE Masterclass in Dublin. Membership of 'SCRUBS' is open to both current and retired Cork University Hospital campus staff and currently has 50 members. There is a healthy mix of choral veterans and novices, some resuming careers that have been dormant since school days; every major department is represented – health professionals, doctors, nurses, admin, catering, portering, maintenance, housekeeping, and others.

It is primarily a group of people who enjoy singing in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The choir has given a great boost to staff morale and has become an invaluable asset for the hospital. The musical director is Patrick Dalton. 'SCRUBS' will be joined by a number of guest artists for this event.
