Directions to Radiology Department
The Radiology department is located on the ground floor at Cork University Hospital. CUH Main entrance: (1st Floor level) Continue down main corridor to lifts, take lifts to ground floor and follow signs for X-ray department. A&E / Outpatients entrance: (Ground floor level) Take left on entering the hospital, follow signs for X-ray department.
The Mission Statement of the Department of Radiology is to provide comprehensive, high quality imaging services and image guided procedures in a safe and efficient manner to all patients referred for care at Cork University Hospital.
The department provides a 24 hour, seven day a week imaging service. The following specialist areas are available:

- Breast Imaging
- Neuro Radiology
- Chest, Abdominal & Musclo - Skeletal
- Imaging
Imagingprovides a foundation for diagnoses of disease, aids in guiding treatment, supports image guided treatment to patients with certain conditions and assists in monitoring patient's progress.
CUH is the only level 1 trauma centre in Republic of Ireland, this status is given because of the very wide range of specialties provided bu thr hospital. CUH Radiology provides imaging to patients from other hospitals in the CUH Group, St. Finbarr's Hospital,St Mary's Orthopaedic Hospital (SMOH) and Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH) and also referrals from ther hospitals in the region and General Practionioners.
