The Nutrition and Dietetics Service aims to treat or alleviate the effects of disease by nutritional means. Providing nutritional support to patients while they are undergoing other treatment helps to maximise the benefits and minimise the side effects of many treatments. Inpatient and outpatient services are provided to all specialities at CUH and to the Rehabilitation Unit for the elderly at St. Finbarr’s Hospital.
