CUH Annual Nursing Conference 2018

Cork University Hospital (CUH) will be hosting its third annual nursing conference on 22nd May 2018. The conference will be focused on Nursing Innovation: Sharing the Learning. The event, which is being organised and facilitated by the Nursing Department will welcome local and national attendees from across the Healthcare professions. 

The aim of the conference is to discuss, reflect, demonstrate and share examples of innovations in nursing practice, which enhance patient care from a wide variety of clinical settings, within Cork University Hospital and around the country. 

The presentations at this year’s conference will highlight a number of exciting advances including Pressure Ulcers to Zero, #endPJParalysis , E-Health innovations, patient stories, and frailty. Patient care and innovation, as well as sharing this learning, is key to improving patient outcomes in the current health service. 

In anticipation of the event, Mary Owens, Director of Nursing at CUH said ‘’The Nursing department at CUH are delighted to host the third annual Nursing Conference on May 22nd. The theme of this year’s conference ‘Nursing Innovation: Sharing the Learning’, the conference will be attended by nurses of all grades on a local and national level will facilitate sharing ideas and thoughts on practices, both old and new. The conference will cover a wide variety of topics and it is important that we come together annually to work to improve patient outcomes in the current system.’’
