Research Activities
A clinical research facility, known as the Perioperative Health Institute has been established. It’s objective is to improve the quality of care available to patients before, during and after surgery by:
- Optimising the use of current information technology
- Organising and improving the training of health professionals
- Improving our understanding of the biological processes during the perioperative period by undertaking translational bench to bedside research
- Co-ordination of a Health Technology Assessment system relevant to perioperative medicine worldwide
The current projects of the Perioperative Health Institute are;
