Cancer Services

All chemotherapy and radiotherapy appointments are proceeding as planned unless you have been contacted directly by the hospital to advise otherwise.

We understand that you may be worried about attending hospital for your appointments or care at this time. Across the CUH campus improvements and changes have been made to ensure your safety. A number of changes have been made for patients attending haematology or oncology appointments and these improvements and safety measures include:

2 new isolation rooms, new entrances, separate internal entrances for catering, limiting staff movement, phone triage of patients prior to attending appointments, structural changes to improve isolation as well as other infection control measures.

Paediatric Update - July 2020

Paediatric Outpatient Clinics are operating in a limited capacity in the Seahorse Outpatient Department.  You will be contacted directly or receive an appointment notification if you are required to attend an outpatient appointment in person.  All other patients will receive a telephone consultation call from their respective consultant/team on the morning or afternoon that their appointment is scheduled for - please ensure that you are available on your mobile/land line as appropriate. Patients / parents with symptoms of Covid19 should NOT attend the hospital for their appointment.  Please ensure that you wear your mask on entering the hospital.  Only one parent/guardian is to attend per child.

Seahorse Day Ward appointments/procedures are going ahead and we will be in touch directly with patients to confirm their attendance.

Please do not delay seeking a medical review for your child if they are unwell. Contact your GP or present to the emergency department.
