HSE Sing for Wellbeing Concert

08 October 2019

SCRUBS CUH Workplace choir are travelling to Athlone on Sun 20th October to take part along with other HSE choirs in the HSE Sing for Wellbeing Concert. Each choir will perform 2 pieces before coming together for the grand finale song which is the old Bill Withers classic Lean on me ,as arranged by Patrick Dalton, musical director of SCRUBS.

This event which celebrates the benefits of singing for staff health & wellbeing was really good fun last year and SCRUBS got a great reception from all present. Based on this year’s line-up, the organisers promise that it’s going to be a very upbeat, celebratory and fun event. While the standard of performance is expected to be high, the main emphasis is on collegiality through song with an emphasis on the benefits to one’s health & wellbeing from being part of a workplace choir. While it’s not a competition, choirs have been asked to reflect the fun element through the choir’s attire with bright dress that would complement  the song choice.

The concert takes place in Institute of Technology, Athlone at 2pm on Sunday 20th October -It is a free event and open to all but tickets must be obtained in advance from www.eventbrite.ie.

We would like to send best wishes to SCRUBS and all of the choirs taking part on this great occasion.
