Orthopaedics

The inpatient orthopaedic physiotherapists provide a service for patients after fractures (broken bones) or emergency surgery. These patients are assessed and treated as appropriate with mobility education for those requiring crutches or other aids. They are also given exercise programmes and education on how to manage while their fracture is healing. A seven day service is provided to facilitate the early discharge home of patients who have had their surgery over the weekend.
