Pharmacy
The Pharmacy Department provides a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical services to patients and staff in CUH and CUMH. Our aim is to ensure safe, effective and economical use of medicines for our patients and support education ,training and research.
Our department consists of a skill mix of pharmacists, pharmaceutical technicians and support staff working together to assure patients receive highest quality of care.
Other aspects of the service include drug protocol development, formulary management and provision of budgetary information to the Finance Department and Hospital management. The pharmacy department also participates in a number of committees within the hospital. These include the Drug and Therapeutics Committee, the Infection Control Committee and the Support Services Committee.
